Textbook Rentals

Rent your Textbooks for the term and save up to 60%!

Renting is only available for some titles.  Starting in the fall term of 2011, the UFV Bookstore will be starting up a trial Textbook Rental Program.

This program allows students of the University of the Fraser Valley (with Student ID Numbers, a valid picture ID, credit card and email address) the opportunity to rent selected textbooks for a single semester.

Rentals can only be made in person at the Bookstore Help Desk.

You must return rented textbooks to the Help Desk on or before the rental due date.  For the fall 2011 semester, that date is December 20, 2011

Note: If a rented book is not returned by the due date, the value of the full retail price of a new book plus a 10% service fee will be charged.  The due date is a hard deadline – please be on time.

All rentals are ‘final’ (no refund) unless a course has been cancelled or dropped before the add/drop date.  Proof of cancellation or withdrawal form is required at the time of refund.  For the fall 2011 semester, the date is: October 3, 2011

Rentals do not necessarily include online supplements such as access codes to publisher websites.  If needed and available, access codes can be purchased separately.  Please keep highlighting and writing in the books to a minimum as a courtesy to other students.

Renting is not the only option we have to save you money.  You can also buy used texts from us and you can sell your used textbooks when you are done with them.
