Providing the infrastructure to innovate in agribusiness
The BC School of Agriculture is the initial phase of UFV’s refined and renewed focus on the agricultural economy and our interdisciplinary vision for addressing the changing needs of the industry. Construction of the new Student Centre Building in Abbotsford (Building S) can be viewed online on our new construction web cam here:

Fostering community spirit and inspiring places to gather
The Canada Education Park (CEP) project was a joint venture between UFV, the Justice Institute of BC, the City of Chilliwack, and the provincial government to redevelop the former Canadian Forces Base in Chilliwack into a multipurpose education and research park.
UFV will be a major presence at Five Corners in downtown Chilliwack
The renovation at UFV Five Corners education centre will include classrooms, a boardroom, and office space for UFV instructors and staff.
It will offer a variety of courses, workshops, and programs to support the business community. Programming will focus on professional development and continuing studies, and custom courses may be designed and offered at the request of the community.
Working together to realize a long-term dream of opening a Student Union Building
The $15-million project will be financed on a cost-shared basis, with UFV students providing $10 million of the funding through a $35 per semester fee that was approved in a referendum in 2008. The university will provide $5 million of the funding.
