The following courses are designed to provide students with the relevant skills required to enter into the ever expanding computer animation industry. This program uses industry leading software such as Autodesk Maya and the Adobe CS4 suite. As students advance through a sound progression of relevant 3D production training, they will produce a portfolio of work to demonstrate their ability to potential employers such as video game companies, movie and animation production studios.

Core courses:

  • Introduction to Computer Animation
  • Digital Imaging for Computer Animation
  • Perspective and Figure Drawing
  • Video Editing & Post Production Level I
  • Computer Animation Level II
  • Pre-production & Concept Art
  • Portfolio Development

Elective courses:

  • Computer Animation Level III
  • Video Editing & Post Production Level II
  • Advanced Lighting & Texturing
  • Advanced 3D Special Effects
  • Advanced 3D Character Creation
  • 2D Special Effects

Introduction to 3D Computer Animation
Professional level 3D software packages such as Autodesk Maya are used to explore the underlying principles and practical implementation of modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering and animation. No class Apr 5.
