Classroom Management
This one-day, six-hour workshop is designed for new and returning ESL teachers. The aim of the workshop is to provide the participants with professional knowledge and practical skills that will allow them to manage students effectively in order to create a positive learning environment for all students in their ESL classroom.
The workshop includes the following topics: classroom organization, learning styles and motivation, cultural and language diversity, different ages of learners, multi-level classes, discipline problems and disciplinary strategies, positive behaviour techniques, inclusion, and resources and professional development.

Intercultural Communication — New!
This workshop will explore the issue of culture and its meaning through a variety of activities, including those which can be adapted and used in ESL classrooms to foster communication and understanding between students from different cultural backgrounds.

Testing
Students will be introduced to various theories and methods of testing in ESL. Methods of testing speaking, listening, reading and writing skills will be discussed and students will be given extensive practice creating a variety of tet materials intended for English language learners.

Tutoring
This one-day, six-hour workshop is designed for new and experienced ESL tutors. The aim of the workshop is to provide the participants with professional knowledge, practical skills, and resources that will allow them to tutor their students effectively and efficiently. The workshop includes the following topics: assessment, tutoring and curriculum, classroom and student management, teaching reading and vocabulary skills, teaching speaking and listening skills, teaching grammar and writing skills, homework, feedback, and correction, communicating with parents and administrators, and professional development.
