CPR C (Basic Rescuer)
This course is for healthcare providers and professional rescuers. It includes the 2005 First Aid and CPR guidelines. Skills taught and practised in this course include one- and two-person rescuer, adult/child/infant CPR, and introduction to automated external defibrillation (AED). Three-year expiry.

Childcare Emergency First Aid
Formerly Childsafe First Aid. This course is for parents with children up to 8 years of age and includes the 2005 First Aid and CPR guidelines. The course stresses emergency first aid
procedures, recognition of home hazards, allergies, bleeding management and child/infant CPR. Recognized by the BC Provincial Childcare Facilities Licensing Board. Three-year expiry.

WorkSafe BC Occupational First Aid Courses

Occupational First Aid Level I
A one-day program designed to provide life-saving first aid skills to workers in industry. The day will cover the ABCs of basic first aid, blocked airways, one-person CPR, and lifts and
transport of the injured. Manuals given out in class. Must be at least 16 years old. Two-year expiry.

Occupational First Aid Level II
This 40-hour WCB course covers all medical techniques within the responsibility of the attendant at a workplace. Attendant must be 19 and possess the physical ability to perform learning tasks. Applicants must have a good command of English and pass a medical exam before taking the final exam. Manuals can be purchased through UFV Bookstore. Two-year expiry.
