Air Brake Theory Training
Prepare for an air brake endorsement. Classroom training includes a brake component demonstration board, audiovisual aids, and a practical session on a truck. This course is certified by the Motor Vehicle Branch. Air brake manuals are included in course fee and available at first class.

Air Brake Pre-Trip Training
Prerequisite: Air Brake Theory Course within the previous 90 days
Prepare for an air brake endorsement. This course emphasizes pre-trip and in-service brake adjustment on highway vehicles. The student will conduct a pre-trip inspection assessment on our air brake equipped vehicle. This course is certified by the Motor Vehicle Branch. Air brake manuals are included in course fee and available at first class.

Air Brake Repair for Mechanics
Pre-Requisite: TQ in automotive.
This course prepares mechanics with limited experience to service air brakes. This endorsement is a requirement for Automotive Technician Commercial Vehicle Inspectors to inspect air brakes. Upon successful
completion you will be able to identify the components of an air brake system and state their function, disassemble and re-assemble air brake valves and foundation brakes, diagnose problems in an air brake system,
perform preventive maintenance on air brake equipped vehicles, and perform a pre-trip inspection on an air-brake–equipped vehicle. Steeltoed footwear required.

Commercial Vehicle Inspection
Prerequisite: BC TQ in commercial transport, automotive, heavy duty, commercial trailer, or motorcycle repair.
A course for journeyperson mechanics wishing to become commercial motor vehicle inspectors. Successful completion of this program provides eligibility to write the inspection exam. Text: Vehicle Inspection Manual (Binder)(2010) is required for the fi rst session and is available at the UFV bookstore.
