Ways to Register
You may register in person at the Registration Open House on January 24, 2012 or a friend may do so on your behalf. Attendees to this event may register themselves and one other person. **Our volunteers can stand in line ups on behalf of those with mobility challenges. You may also register by mail using the form (the link is found at the top of the page) or by emailing elder.college@ufv.ca. Registrations received before the Registration Open House will be processed on January 25. Placement is secured by payment (by cash or cheque only). After January 24 registration continues at the office or by mail until courses begin. We offer two semesters a year: a Fall semester in October/November, and a Spring semester in February/March.
Memberships
You must be a member of ElderCollege to take a course. Membership costs $12 and expires on August 31 following its issue. You may pay for your membership and registration fees at the same time.
Waitlists
If you cannot be accommodated because a course is full, you may have your name included on a waitlist. You do not have to be an ElderCollege member to be on a waitlist and the registration fee is payable only after confirmation of a place in the course. The list is effective for the current semester only and does on carry forward to future semesters.
Refunds
We will issue a refund for course fees if a member withdraws from a course prior to the first class, less a $15 administration fee per course. Prepaid expenses such as admittance fees will only be reimbursed if a replacement for your spot is available. If a course or trip is cancelled, full refunds will be issued. Membership fees are non-refundable
Course Fees
Fees are payable by cheque or cash. Our goal at ElderCollege is to be self-sustaining and we plan for cost recovery in our fee structure.
