September 20 - Fraser Valley CA Accounting Event
Join us for the 4th Annual Fraser Valley CA Accounting Event, your unique opportunity to meet with Accounting firms looking to recruit for articling, summer and co-op positions starting next year. The deadline to apply to most firms is September 29th, 2010 so if you are in 3rd or 4th year you don't want to miss out! Come prepared to mix, mingle, and learn how to launch your career as an Accountant.

March 31 - The Intern Info SessionFortune. Fame. Bragging rights. Do you have what it takes to be The Intern?
The Abbotsford News is launching a contest this spring and is looking for
20 UFV students to compete for an internship at the Abbotsford Entertainment & Sports Centre (next to our Abby campus). The selected UFV students will compete in a 5-week contest for
a 2010 summer internship and $5000 cash.
The experience is invaluable, what you do with the money is up to you.
You'll be challenged to create promotional campaigns for local businesses. During the first three weeks of the contest, there will be 10 teams of two people competing, and elimination starts in week 4. The contest and competitors will be widely featured in The Abbotsford News in print and online, in special supplements, and on campus at UFV. Think photos shoots, personal profiles, etc.

February 25th - CMA Info Session
Certified Management Accountants (CMA) are strategic financial management professionals with accounting skills and leadership competencies in international competitiveness, market development, human resources management, and information technologies.
Dayl Booth, Information Officer for the Certified Management Accountants of BC, is holding an information session for UFV Students! Do not miss this opportunity to learn what the CMA designation holds and the opportunities it can provide you with!

February 11th - CGA Info Session
CGA BC has generously offered to provide UFV with another great Information Session!
There will be both a general information session as well as individual office hours to speak one-on-one with Jas Randhawa, Manager of Recruitment & Employment for CGA BC.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the CGA designation! Jas will speak about what the CGA designation holds and the opportunities that this designation provides you with! This is definitely not an event you want to miss out on!
Even if you aren’t sure what you would like to do after you graduate, come out and learn what the CGA is all about!!
