UFV Logo

Logo gif
UFV is all about nurturing students and helping them grow to reach their full potential. Our new colours represent growth and transformation. Our new graphics represent the combination of mountain, river, and lush valley that we call home, together with a plant sprout that represents both the fertile soil of the valley and the fertile minds of our learners as they begin their personal transformation with us. Spend some time looking at it and you may also see a cupped hand cradling our new name.
The UFV logo is one component of our visual identity. There are several versions of the logo (ie. full colour, black & white, reverse, and half reverse), for use in a variety of environments.  Learn about the variations in this PDF guide to our new logo.

It's important for visual impact that the logo have some protected space around it, where no other graphic or text is placed. The optimal protected space is illustrated in this PDF document.

Need a logo?
There are as many versions of our logo as there are applications to use them in. Please contact the Marketing & Communications team to request the logo that's right for your use. Please be sure to specify the following when making your request:

  • Version: b&w, full colour, full reverse (i.e. white for a coloured background), or half reverse
  • Colour space: CMYK (for print) or RGB (for digital display). We can also provide hexidecimal (for web) specifications
  • Size: if you require a specific size of logo, please provide measurements in inches (h x w), centimeters (h x w), or pixels (h x w). Resizing an existing logo, if the artwork is not scalable, could result in stretched, skewed, or pixellated graphics.
  • Format: if you require a specific format of logo (i.e. .eps, .ai, .pdf, .jpg, .gif, .tiff, .bmp, .pct, .svg etc.) please specify. Generally, an EPS is the standard file format used for professional printing (e.g., business cards, brochures, signage, etc.), while JPG and GIF files are the most common file formats used on the web and for display/projection.

Permission to use the logo
The UFV logo s protected under the Canadian Trademarks Act. When used on a document, web page, poster, or other application, implies endorsement of the promoted item or activity by the university. As such, the logo should not be used without the express permission of the university. Please seek permission to use the logo before any materials are produced.
