Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation

    EQA

The EQA is British Columbia’s brand for quality post-secondary education. It provides a standard trademark that people can recognize worldwide as an assurance of quality for British Columbia post-secondary institutions.  EQA is a voluntary mechanism available to all public and private post-secondary institutions in the province that meet the quality assurance standards required for EQA eligibility.

The EQA designation enables both domestic and international students to easily recognize institutions that have met quality assurance standards that government recognizes.  BC Council for International Education, an independent international education society, administers the EQA program on behalf of government and promotes and markets EQA designated institutions at international education fairs, trade missions, etc.

The University of the Fraser Valley was granted the EQA designation in January 2010.
