Sat — Crim sponsors Vagina Monologues

The Vagina Monologues , co-sponsored by UCFV's School of Criminology and Criminal Justice, will be presented in two performances in Feb:

Sat, Feb 3
Clarke Foundation Theatre
33700 Prentis Ave.
Mission
8 pm

Sat, Feb 17
Matsqui Centennial Auditorium
32315 South Fraser Way
Abbotsford

For those of you unfamiliar with The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler they are, as Gloria Steinem describes them, “intimate narratives...gathered from more then two hundred interviews and then turned into poetry for the theatre.”
This production will raise funds to stop violence against women and help victims of violence. The V-Day spotlight this year is Women in Conflict Zones.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from Catherine McDonald
(local 4650, office Abby B332).

Be-Fore-Play mixer: munch, mingle to live music for an additional $10 per ticket.

Carpoolers from Coquitlam, Burnaby, and East Vancouver wanted

Congratulations to the new carpools that have blossomed this semester! The Chilliwack crew deserves special applause for working out a flexible schedule.

Remember, by carpooling, you’ll save vast amounts of money. You are bound to have fascinating conversations, with witticisms you can use at your next party. And sometimes you might get to nap - doesn’t that sound good!

The most important details we need to know about your carpooling needs are: where do you live, and which days do you work? Most people are flexible about the times during the day. We have some excellent opportunities to carpool, but it would be great to have more drivers from Coquitlam, Burnaby, and East Vancouver.

Contact Edith Camm, preferably by email at Edith.Camm@ucfv.ca , or local 4322.
