Campbell brings good news to UCFV

Premier Gordon Campbell made the long-anticipated announcement that the provincial government is funding the purchase of a 34-hectare portion of the former Canadian Forces Base Chilliwack and the development of a new Trades and Technology Centre for UCFV on the site, and the new Canada Education Park in Chilliwack. The Province is contributing over $29 million to the project: $7.6 million to purchase the land for the campus and $21.6 million for a major building renovation. Eventually, the rest of the current Chilliwack campus, plus new programming, will located at the site. The Trades Centre will open this September. More details.
