Children’s Rights — Proposed Academic Theme for 2009/10
On Nov 20, 2009, the world will celebrate the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
A small group of faculty members are proposing that UCFV adopt Children’s Rights as the academic theme of the year for 2009/10. It’s an opportunity for departments and schools to explore together what they can do to engage their students, and perhaps the broader community, in creative learning and research activities that could lead to an event (or events) around Nov 20, 2009.
You are invited to a planning meeting on Wed, Jan 9, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm in Abby F125 (University House). Please RSVP to deborah.block@ucfv.ca.
Thank you for your participation. For more information see www.ucfv.ca/research.
