Mark LaLonde
Over the past several years, Mark LaLonde has worked with private sector clients, governments, and United Nations agencies in the Persian Gulf, Europe, East Africa, South East Asia and the Caribbean. His work has focused on enhancing human safety and security, including police and prison development, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable groups, most especially the rights of children. Mark has a graduate degree in Justice & Public Safety Leadership from Royal Roads University, and was a student many years ago in the Adult Education Program at UFV. Currently, Mark is a partner in the Canpro Global group of risk mitigation companies, based here in the Lower Mainland.

Eileen Skinnider
Eileen Skinnider has been an associate with the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy since 1997. Her work has involved research and the contribution to the production of guideline documents relating to the elimination of violence against women, effective prosecution of crimes against children, and the international criminal court.  Eileen's work on law reform and good governance technical assistance projects has taken her to China, Thailand, Southern Sudan and Ethiopia. Since 2000, Eileen has also worked as a humanitarian affairs advisor for Médecins Sans Frontières in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Uganda, and Ethiopia. She has an LLM from LSE and an LLB from University of Saskatchewan.

Terry Waterhouse
Terry Waterhouse is a faculty in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of the Fraser Valley. His areas of interest include child rights, safety and international juvenile justice reform and span the education and criminal justice systems. Within the criminal justice system, Terry is currently involved in several United Nations projects which are assisting developing and post-conflict countries seeking to align national approaches with international standards for fair and just child sensitive criminal justice approaches. These projects are taking place in the Maldives, Viet Nam and Southern Sudan. He is also developing an online training program on the rights of child victims and witnesses. Terry recently completed an assessment of the situation of children in the prisons of Southern Sudan.

Yvon Dandurand
Yvon is a criminologist with many years of experience in the field of development and good governance and, in particular, in the areas of justice policy and law reform. He is the Associate Vice-President,  Research and Graduate Studies, at the University of the Fraser Valley. His work involves various law reform and criminal justice system capacity building initiatives, several of them in transitional and post-conflict situations. He has co-directed a technical assistance project in the area of prison reform in Southern Sudan and is involved in the development of several other initiatives in Haiti and in other countries.  He is a Senior Associate of the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy and a member of the Rule of Law Training Advisory Board, United States Institute of Peace. He contributed to the work of the United Nations Expert Group on Strengthening Criminal Justice Systems in Post-Conflict and Transitional States (UNODC).
