Publications and Research 2009/2010
Every year The Research Office puts out our Publications and Research catalogue. This year will be our sixth edition, coming out at the end of August. This publication lists references of publications that our faculty and staff have completed and a list of presentations at conferences they have attended. UFV Journal – Research Review
UFV Research Review: A Special Topics Journal is a peer-reviewed online journal. The topics selected for journal issues are those of regional and wider interest.
The Review generally encourages submissions from practitioners and scholars, including undergraduate and graduate students, college and university instructors, those working in nongovernmental agencies, and workers with public and private agencies.

Journal of Historical Biography The Journal of Historical Biography is an international, peer-reviewed, open access periodical that publishes twice annually, in spring and fall. The journal accepts submissions in English or French embracing any aspect of historical biography, including biographical portraits of prominent individuals of any nation, and theoretical, methodological, or philosophical pieces that reflect on the larger issues associated with writing biography or autobiography. Reviews of biographical works and of works related to historical biography are also solicited.

The Dictionary of British Columbia BiographyThe Dictionary of British Columbia Biography is a project inspired by the extraordinary success of Canada's national biographical work, the Dictionary of Canadian Biography. In the DBCB, the history of British Columbia will unfold as the story of individuals who lived and contributed to continuity as well as change in BC. When completed, BC will be one of only two provinces in Canada to have a major historical publication arranged according to the life stories of British Columbians.
