About Our Residence

Our Location - Beautiful Abbotsford, BC
UFV Baker House Residence is located on the Abbotsford campus. If you are not from the Lower Mainland, please click on this Abbotsford map for an introduction to the area. In brief, this location, by car, is approximately 30 minutes away from the Chilliwack campus and 15 minutes away from the Mission campus.

Accommodation - Double Occupancy Suites
Each suite at Baker House Residence has two separate bedrooms. In each of these bedrooms there is a desk, chair, night table and single, extra-long bed. For a typical floorplan of our units, please click here.The shared common area in the unit has a microwave, mini-fridge, table, and chairs. There is also a land-line telephone with a direct line. Each unit also contains a shared bathroom with shower. The bedrooms are both hardwired for internet access and have a cable outlet. There is a large shared common room on all floors with comfortable couches and flat screen TV. The first floor features a new communal kitchen with two cooktops, three ovens, two microwaves and a dishwasher. The second, third, and fourth floors also feature laundry rooms plus study rooms with moveable tables and chairs.  This is a non-smoking building.

Residence Application and Account Payments
Visit the Residence Application Portal . You will be required to register before applying, after which you will receive your Residence USER ID # and PIN #. These numbers must be used everytime you log in to the Residence Portal. If you have lost or misplaced these numbers, please contact us and we will send it to you. Please note: This is NOT your UFV Student Number. After applying, you can log in at anytime to make payments via credit card.

We reserve 60 percent of our beds for first-year domestic students, 25 percent for international students, and 15 percent for second, third, and fourth year students. Once a section is full, the next applicant will become first on the waitlist. Should there be space after March 1 or the official move-in date, students on the waitlist will be notified in order of application fee received.
