Resident Assistants
RAs are student leaders who are responsible for developing supportive, inclusive communities where all residents feel comfortable and safe, and excel academically. RAs work closely with the students' association, and are expected to develop living and learning environments by planning and implementing various services and programs for residents. As well, RAs are responsible for discipline in the community and making sure that residents respect their community and each other. RAs are available for support, maintenance concerns, lockouts, and are trained to deal with any emergencies and conflicts that arise. The RAs will also help contribute to the international experience of residents by working closely with the Residence Programmer and assisting with programs.
Qualifications:
This student must reside in Residence. Must be resourceful, responsible, and willing to assist students when required. Must be dependable and willing to work as a team member. The successful candidates will have leadership experience/training. Must be able to respond quickly to unexpected demanding situations, and maintain excellent public service skills. Must also be a full-time UFV student with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA.
