What is it?

The Student Leadership Board is a group of appointed students who volunteer their time and skills to plan and execute leadership opportunities and promote development. The purpose of the Student Leadership Board is to help plan conferences and retreats, be a voice for Student Life’s Leadership Institute and provide feedback on our programs.

UFV’s Student Life Leadership Institute is looking for 4-5 individuals to form the Student Leadership Board 2011-2012. 

As a part of this group, you will attend the Canadian Conference on Student Leadership (CCSL) in Calgary (November 17-20, 2011)!  Check out this conference opportunity at http://www.theccsl.ca


How do I Apply?

1. Complete the online application form - No Closed - Check back in Fall 2012
2. Submit the following:
   1. One page letter of intent outlining
      1. Why should you be chosen to attend CCSL?
      2. Why should you be chosen to sit on the Leadership Board?
      3. How you will use the experience of attending CCSL and being a part of the board to enhance the UFV community?
   2. Resume

Leadership Board Responsibilities

1. Commit to a Leadership Board position for the Fall 2011 and Winter 2012 semesters
2. Attend at least one to two meetings/month
3. Help plan and implement the annual student leadership retreat (scheduled for June 13-15, 2012)
4. Help plan the Winter 2012 (March 2 and 3) conference
5. Fulfill other responsibilities of the Leadership Board
