Students generally spend the first six weeks getting to know their community and developing connections and meaningful relationships. The Student Life Department has implemented a new model of programming that sets the tone for getting acquainted with the community, ensuring a safe environment and providing connections and support for all new students on campus.
In the first six weeks of the Fall 2011 semester, Student Life, in collaboration with various other departments and student groups, provided an excellent layout of events, seminars and workshops to help new students into the transition at UFV. Some of the events in this years' Six Weeks to Success included a Cascades Tailgate Party, Oudoor Movie Night, Leadership Challenge Info Session, U-PASS Info Session, Study Smart Workshops and an Arts Meet and Greet. |
