Attachment Page Type
This page type is used for creating a link within the dynamic site navigation section or the child pages list that opens a Digital Asset (image, word document, PDF file, etc.).
Blog Page Type
Use the Blog page type for creating a blog (weblog) and adding comments to it.
Calendar Event Page Type
Use the Calendar Event page type to schedule events on your calendar pages and to manage events submitted to your calendar by your site’s users.
Calendar Page Type
Use the Calendar page type to create a calendar of events on your site. Events are added to the calendar by creating Calendar Event child pages on the Calendar page.
Category Page Type
Use Category pages when you need to create sub-sections within your site’s navigation, but do not have any content for the page. Category pages do not have a Content Editor you can not add any content to them; they are strictly used as a navigation aid.
Comment Page Type
The Comment Pagelet works in a similar fashion as the Rating Pagelet. The same pagelet can be used on multiple ACM pages to allow a page viewer to comment on the page’s content. All the comments collected by the pagelet from all pages on which the pagelet resides can be managed from edit mode of the pagelet.
Digital Asset Gallery Page Type
Use this page type to create a gallery page containing links to multiple documents. Document types can include PDF's, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, but not image files.
Enhanced Photo Gallery
The Enhanced Photo Gallery page type allows you to display images from your Digital Asset Manager in a slide-show or thumbnail format. When you create the gallery, you indicate which Digital Assets Library folders contain the images to display on the page. This page type replaces both the Flash Photo Gallery and Photo Gallery page types. It supports image resizing and provides a number of flexible layout options. If you want to create a page for non-image files, use the Digital Asset Gallery page type.
Flash Photo Gallery Page Type
The Flash Photo Gallery page type allows you to display images in an album or slide-how format. When you create the gallery, you indicate which Digital Assets Library folders contain the images to display on the page. When the page is published, all image files in the selected folders are displayed as your photo gallery or slide show. This page type differs from the Photo Gallery page type in that you are provided with more display options, including the ability to size the presentation area of your gallery, select background colors, and size the thumbnails and chose how many thumbnails are visible. If you want to create a page for non-image files, use the Digital Asset Gallery page type.
Forum Page Type
Use the Forum Page Type to create a micro-community of users on your website. The Forums (aka Message Boards) can allow contribution from both authenticated and anonymous users. Forum moderators can be those in your organization or familiar users in the micro-community. Any number of sub-forums can be created to keep your discussions organized and any number of discussion threads can be created. Features such as Hot Topics, Announcements, Sticky Threads and user statistics are all included in the Forum page type.
General Content Page Type
The General Content page is used for all regular web content that does not require special functionality or interaction with the database. Unlike some of the more complex pages such as the Survey or Application Form pages, the General Content page is a straightforward page that provides the basic HTML editor window for adding text and graphics to your site.
HTML Consumer Page Type
The HTML Consumer page type allows you to display HTML from an external source and display it on your ACM site. You are provided with the ability to reference an HTML file, or connect to a webpage as the HTML source.
Link Page Type
The Link page type is used for creating a link within the dynamic site navigation and/or child page list, to an external website, a page in a different section of your website, or to content that has been framed within a page of your site.
QuickLinks Page Type
Use the QuickLinks page type to create a list of links to internal pages or external sites. By providing two default layout options you have the choice of creating a simple list of links, or a more complex informative list. When used with a Calendar page type, QuickLinks can display an updated list of current events, meetings and other activities.
Survey Page Type
The Survey page type is used for creating online forms and surveys. Survey records are maintained within the database and can be downloaded to Excel or emailed directly to one or more people.
Syndicated Calendar
The Syndicated Calendar functionality is comprised of a pagetype, a pagelet and a syndicated page and allows you to provide multiple calendar views and share calendar events across your organization‟s website. Please contact Robyn Harcott to gain access to this page type.
V2 Blog Page Type
The V2 Blog page type allows authorized users to compose/edit new Blog entries right on the view mode interface. Existing entries can be indexed by author, by category, by time, or by tags. A rating pagelet and a comments pagelet can be integrated to enable contributions from all visitors. Visitors can also subscribe to the whole Blog or a type of Blog entries through email or their RSS feed readers.
