Guidelines for Submission to the Writing Prize Competition

1) Submissions to the Writing Prize Competition must be course-based assignments from the Summer 2011, Fall 2011, & Winter 2012 terms.

2) Each entry should be submitted in both print (in person or through campus mail) and electronic (email to writing.centre@ufv.ca) forms.

·each must have a title page that includes:

-the title of the paper

· the student’s name, address, and phone number

· the name of the professor and the course for which the paper was written

·a copy of the assignment guidelines (to assist the judges)

· the student’s signature* and/or an email granting his/her consent

* The student’s signature acknowledges that the work is being entered in the competition with the student’s consent, that it can appear on the UFV website, be filed in the Writing Centre and the Library, and that the work will not be returned.

3) Papers should be submitted to the Abbotsford Writing Centre by May 16, 2012.
