FACE provides access to post-secondary education for all types of adult learners. The ESL and UUP departments help students acquire the skills, knowledge, and course prerequisites needed to move into post-secondary programs. The ABT and CE departments provide career-related programs, some of which include practicum placements that ensure students have the skills and knowledge needed to start in their careers paths. The ISC provides resources and cultural and academic support to help Indigenous students reach their educational and career goals. AS provides examination invigilation services to UFV students who require an alternative test time to write exams and to external clients requiring invigilation services.

FACE also provides a home for Qualifying Studies (QS) and the University Foundation Program (UFP) students. With the help of academic advising and other university support services, QS and UFP students develop academic plans that will help them meet the requirements of their chosen post-secondary program.
