Explanation on Selection

In deciding which theses to include, we followed the definition of adult education as adopted by UNESCO. In addition, we were guided by the National Library policy for inclusion, which attempts not only to capture all graduate student research done in Canadian universities, but also research done by Canadians at institutions abroad.

The boundaries of the field of adult education are often fluid and it has been a challenge to determine the exact nature of the content by the titles and abstracts. Please comment on our choices. Let us know If you are aware of any theses that should be included. Exclusion may be the result of an oversight, or because they have only recently been published.

Also included are theses which the late James Draper of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education published in earlier compilations. These entries are indicated by an asterisk.
