Adventures in Aging:
Search for the Fountain of Youth
Friday, October 15
8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Room B121, UFV Abbotsford campus
33844 King Rd., Abbotsford
Everyone is searching for the fountain of youth, which they fervently hope will appear magically in the form of a small, easily-swallowed pill that you can take daily (or even better, weekly, or monthly). The reality, however, is that we already know how to slow the aging process and how to improve our chances of living longer. Equally important, we also know how to maximize our chance of maintaining our good health and vigour, but unfortunately, it does not come from a pill or miracle powder.
Dr. Hister will use his trademark humorous style to tell you how you can:
- Increase your chances of living longer
- Lower your risk of developing debilitating, chronic illnesses
- Slow your aging process
- Live with more energy and more happiness
- Lower your stress levels and cope better with life’s inevitable hazards
Information and workshops on:
- Seniors on stage
- Yoga and tai chi
- Finances for elders
- Guided autobiography
Enjoy afternoon tea with local elders and a ballet performance by Elders in Motion.
