‌‌Katherine Burnett‌, MA

Katherine Burnett is a graduate student at the University of Victoria, currently pursuing a PhD in Political Science (with a concentration in Cultural, Social, and Political Thought). She has research interests in the areas of political economy, political theory, and urban politics. 

As a research associate at the Agriburban Research Centre, Katherine focuses on local government, urban governance, and political geography. She also works with Dr. Ann Dale as a research assistant at Royal Roads University, studying urban food security, social movements, and peri-urban land use.

Katherine was one of the recipients of the 2013 Spaces and Flows Graduate Scholar Award and presented her research at the annual conference, held in November in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
