The resource room is open to the public and situated within UFV's Agriculture department on the university's Chilliwack campus.
Whether you're looking for information on dairy industry regulations in BC, how to set up a food processing business, or where and when the closest farmers' market might be, chances are we can put you on the right track.
Resources include literature from the British Columbia Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, the Investment Agriculture Foundation of BC, the BC Milk Producers Association, Agriculture in the Classroom, the BC Association of Farmers' Markets, and other agencies, as well as a computer with internet access and bookmarked web pages of relevant information.
The UFV Agriculture department is nestled in the heart of Chilliwack, located in the beautiful historic Fraser Valley of southwestern British Columbia. The Fraser Valley has some of the most fertile agriculture land in the world, thanks to geographic forces of glacial intrusions, a gentle climate, and the mighty Fraser River.
