Integrated Pest Management Essentials certificate
Integrated pest management plays a key role in today's agriculture. This certificate is comprised of 15 credits (5 three-credit courses) and is designed to help producers and agri-service personnel to identify and assess pests in the field and prepare students for entry-level pest scout positions.
Entrance requirements
1. BC secondary school graduation or equivalent, or minimum 19 years of age before first day of class. 2. Applicants must satisfy the English language policy. For details on how this requirement may be met, see here for details. 3. Admission to the Agriculture Technology department. Some courses have prerequisites. Prospective students are encouraged to meet with the Agriculture Technology department head before applying to the program.
How to apply
Submit your application fee, along with your UFV application for admission form, to the Admissions and Records (A&R) office. Application forms are available at any A&R or Student Services office. You can also print an application form, or you can apply directly through the internet at www.pas.bc.ca.
Document required for a complete application: • proof of BC secondary school graduation or equivalent.
When to apply
Applications are accepted on a continuous basis throughout the year. Qualified applicants are considered for the next intake in which there is space.

Chilliwack campus. Some courses may be available online.

Continuance and probation
Some courses have prerequisites. Prospective students are advised to contact the Agriculture Technology department before commencing the program.
Residency
Students must complete at least 50% of credits required in the certificate at UFV.
Graduation requirements
A minimum GPA of 2.0 in all courses is required in the program.
