Arts Academic Advising includes:
- new Arts students information
- individual student appointments to advise students of their program requirements and course selection for future goals
- maintaining files on students' academic progress and any necessary supporting documents
- evaluating previous course work taken by UFV and transfer students
- approving student declarations of major(s), extended minor(s), and minor(s)within the BA
- approving student declarations (in other degree programs) of extended minor(s) and/or minor(s) in an Arts discipline
- advising students of graduation procedures, reviewing individual student graduation requirements, and recommending graduation approvals to the Senate
- offering graduated students letters of support, reference or confirmation of their success at UFV
- providing resources, information, and support for all Arts students including students in academic difficulty
