Mark Breedveld

Associate Professor, School of Business

Mark Breedveld joined the University of the Fraser Valley in 2005.  He holds an MBA degree from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. Mark specializes in sales education within the School of Business and served as the department head and interim director of the School of Business from 2008-2011.

Mark started his career working in the management consulting division of Price Waterhouse and went on to work in marketing roles in the software and advertising industries.  He also worked as an independent consultant, focusing on marketing research, sales lead generation and advertising copy writing assignments.

In the classroom, Mark is a strong proponent of active learning.  His upper level classes typically include hands-on projects in which students act as consultants.  Most recently, his students carried out a membership sales campaign for the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce. In past semesters, his students have taken on exhibit marketing plans, customer satisfaction studies, and market assessment studies for a wide variety of Fraser Valley organizations. 

Mark is a member of the Marketing Educators Association.
