Instructional Media Services
Instructional Media Services (IMS) provides the UCFV community with media resources and services to augment the classroom experience. Our services range from media equipment distribution to full-motion, digital video production as well as video conferencing.
Our facilities furnish UCFV students and faculty with video editing suites, dubbing and duplicating equipment, a screening room, and a self-serve media prep lab for producing class presentation assignments and seminar projects. The lab is outfitted for computer imaging (including digital scanning, digital photography, video capture, and electronic slide presentation), video editing, drymounting, laminating, and report binding. Some services are available at all campuses, but our helpful staff are based on the Abbotsford and Chilliwack sites.
IMS maintains a wide inventory of A/V equipment for use by students and faculty for instruction and class projects. Whether you are organizing an interactive conference or simply want some digital images for your assignments, our friendly staff are available to assist and advise you on the set-up and use of equipment.
We can arrange in-class demonstrations to help students and faculty with projects involving video, photography, audio, overhead projection, and computer slide presentations.
