Child, Youth, and Family Studies

UFV's Early Childhood Education certificate is a four-semester program providing the educational component leading to provincial licensing as an early childhood educator. Students can continue into the Early Childhood Education diploma, which allows for specialization in special needs or infancy.

UFV's Child and Youth Care program is a degree completion Bachelor of Arts for working practitioners. It has entry points in either the second- or third-year level, and students with a related certificate or diploma may be able to ladder into the Bachelor of Arts degree in Child and Youth Care. A Bachelor of Arts (CYC) — Child Protection Specialization and a Graduate certificate in Child Life and Community Health are also available.
