BCIS Degree with a Minor in Mathematics
Important information for students proceeding towards this degree/minor combination
While CIS students take MATH 125 Introduction to Discrete Mathematics as part of the CIS diploma, the minor in Mathematics requires an additional 11 MATH courses in total:
CIS students need to choose their electives in other disciplines carefully in the CIS diploma (years one and two) and degree (years three and four). There are eight electives in other disciplines in the overall CIS program.
This leaves two additional upper-level Mathematics courses to be taken to complete the BCIS degree with a minor in Mathematics. (Taking this combination requires two more courses than a BCIS degree without a minor.)
