New Program to launch Fall 2008: Cisco Certificate in Networking and Network Security (CCNS)

To provide further benefit to our many students, the UFV CIS department has developed a certificate program that allows students to specialize early within their overall educational objectives if they so choose.  The "made at UFV" CCNS program consists of 10 courses (30 credits) and focuses on learning outcomes that are very focused and specific toward beginning (or enhancing) a career in the many areas of computer networking including;

  • Network Support Technician / Specialist
  • Network Administrator
  • Network Analyst
  • Network Systems Architect
  • Network Security Administrator
  • Network Security Analyst

Students will learn skills and knowledge specific to modern day business and industry networking environments, while at the same time earning University credits in our CIS Diploma and BCIS Degree programs.
