Linda’s passion for enabling learners to develop workplace ready skills has been the focus of her administrative, student affairs, and instructional work. Her research and practice incorporates workplace learning strategies, transformative learning, and work/life readiness development. As a former Director of Student Services, Linda draws on over 25 years of experience providing learning strategies, and services designed to facilitate successful transitions into the workplace. She has an extensive background in instructional design, online learning, narrative inquiry, student services, project management, and corporate training. Linda is also the lead education consultant and project manager for the BC Council on Admissions and Transfer’s (BCCAT), Education Planner project www.educationplanner.ca
Linda serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University. She is also a member of the National Post-secondary Student Mental Health Steering Committee.
When not working or doing her own research, Linda likes running, biking, yoga, cooking, and writing. And she loves spending time with her family biking through the Cascade Mountains in Oregon.
