Dental Office Receptionist Instructor
Brenda Molnar
is an instructor for the Dental Office Receptionist certificate program, dental professional courses and a dental practice management consultant.

After working for many years in private dental practices as a CDA, treatment coordinator and office manager, Brenda is enjoying the opportunity to teach and train in the dental field.

Nursing Unit Clerk Instructors
Heather Hurtubise and Shirley Jones, won the Outstanding Initiative Award through UFV. They have taught the well-recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program for more than 18 years.

In addition to providing exceptional instruction to UFV students in the NUC program, they have worked as nursing unit clerks in the Fraser Valley for more than 30 years, enabling them to bring hands on experience and real life scenarios to the classroom.
  Veterinary Administrative Assistant Instructors

Melissa Colling graduated from Thompson Rivers University’s Animal Health Technology Program in 2005. Over the next few years, she completed her certification in Canine Rehabilitation Therapy through the Canine Rehab Institute, based out of Florida.

After working at a few local vet clinics and managing a rehab facility over subsequent years, Melissa decided that she would like to give back to the vet community, by helping train great Vet Assistants, as she knows firsthand, their importance within a vet hospital. Melissa shares her home with a French bulldog, Kennedy and 2 fluffy cats, Reese and Riley.

  Sarah Squinas is a recent graduate from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. She is currently practicing as veterinarian at an equine referral hospital in Langley. Her interests include equine medicine, surgery, and anesthesia. She strives to improve the well-being of veterinary patients through education, both of owners and members of the veterinary team.
 ‌  Legal Administrative Assistant Instructor

Judy Richards obtained her Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA) Certificate when UFV was still Fraser Valley College over 20 years ago.  She worked in the legal field while continuing on with her education, and obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Capilano College (now Capilano University).  Judy has worked throughout the Fraser Valley, in the BC Interior and the Okanagan over the course of her legal career.  Although her work experience has been primarily in Civil Litigation and Criminal Law, she has worked in, and has a comprehensive knowledge of, other areas of law as well.
  Applied Business Technology Instructors

Christine Nehring, MBA, PID, teaches in the Applied Business Technology (ABT) program. She has worked in a variety of fields, including business management and educational publishing. Her diverse background allows her to successfully
teach both technology and administrative courses, integrating content across the range of ABT courses.
  Mary Higgins, MEd, has taught in a variety of institutions in Canada and the U.K. She has a strong technical background and is passionate about the capacity of technology to improve lives. Her enthusiasm for teaching and learning infuses
all her classes.
  Medical Office Assistant Instructor

Laio Voice
has been in the medical field for 15 years. She has extensive management, business, and practical experience within the medical office setting, from general practice up to and including to surgical specialties.
  Paralegal Instructor

Terry Han has had a varied education and career. He was a building technologist and a schoolteacher before completing his law degree in England. While completing his LLB degree, Terry worked at a top corporate law firm in London. Upon graduation, he was employed as a barrister’s clerk by a firm that specializes in criminal law. Since his return to Vancouver in 2003, Terry has completed a paralegal applications certificate and worked as a legal assistant at a national business law firm. Most recently, he worked in a private equity group that specializes in mergers and acquisitions. Terry is very pleased to be able to go back to his original intention of becoming a teacher by teaching in our Paralegal program. In his spare time, Terry plays hockey and snowboards, and has recently taken up surfing.
