Languages

American Sign Language (ASL) complies with the provincial guidelines for college level. Courses are taught by immersion, all instructors are deaf, and all communication is  visual. American Sign Language is the fourth most widely used language in Canada. These courses may be taken for personal or professional reasons. School districts now accept ASL Prep I–IV with a pass on the government master exam as equivalent to the new high school courses in introductory American Sign Language. Please contact your high school counsellor for more information.
