Banking – Sales and Service
This course, designed for those with no previous bank training, covers the basic skills needed for a bank teller position. Topics include financial industry overview, banking terms, products and services, operating cash and balancing, and customer relations. A mark of 75 percent must be achieved to receive a letter of completion.

Basic Security Training
Basic Security Training (BST) is a 40-hour course that must be completed in order to obtain a security licence pursuant to the Security Services Act of British Columbia. The purpose of the course is to provide basic knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of uniformed security guards. Topics include introduction to private
security, professionalism, ethics, introduction to law, Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, human rights legislation, documentation and effective note taking, and personal safety. This course is a prerequisite to the Advanced Security Training (AST) certificate.

Retail Sales Training
This course provides interactive training in key retail management skills that will enable you to become an industry leader. You will increase your understanding of essential criteria related to product, customer and team management, recruitment, and staff motivation. You will develop specific leadership strengths that will improve your performance in the retail sector. Throughout the program, you will work on projects, both individually and as part of a team, to gain insight into the retail world. Topics include loss prevention, essentials of recruitment, hiring and interviewing, team building, conflict in the work place, effective retail merchandising and branding, customer service, and profit and loss, as well as POS (point of sale) training.
