Veterinary Administrative Assistant Program
This part-time, 660-hour program consists of nine modules and will prepare you to work in a veterinary hospital where you will be working with animals and people in a daily basis. You will learn how to be an integral part of a small animal hospital as a Veterinary Administrative Assistant. As a qualified front line assistant you will be learning how to be a top notch receptionist with above average people skills and capable of running the front desk including answering the phones and booking appointments. You will also be learning some of the skills to assist with the animals that come in for care, whether they are injured, sick, or aggressive. You will learn how to become the face and voice of a veterinary hospital or clinic.

Veterinary Business Fundamentals This class gives you a working knowledge if how to be a receptionist in an often fast-paced environment. Basic telephone skills (topics include booking appointments and surgeries and answering questions) will be covered as well as working with common computer software found in the clinic for billing and record keeping. We will study the dynamics of the hospital team and relationships within the clinic.
