First prize in the raffle is a night's accommodation for two at the Granville Island Hotel, a $50 gift certificate for the Dockside Brewing Company Restaurant (in the Granville Island Hotel), plus tickets to see the Arts Club production of the musical Dames at Sea. Other prizes are: two passes to UCFV Theatre's 2002/03 season of plays, and two passes to UCFV's 7th Annual Directors' Theatre Festival in April, 2002.

"Buying tickets in this raffle will go to assist in the purchase of equipment for the Theatre program, which otherwise the department could not afford to acquire," notes James Servizi, chair of the Friends of the UCFV Theatre.

The Friends of the UCFV Theatre are people who enjoy live theatre and support the productions of the Theatre department, either as an audience member, as a volunteer assisting with activities, or as a silent supporter.

"We appreciate not only the support of the community, but also the Granville Island Hotel and Arts Club Theatre for supporting education and Theatre in the Fraser Valley with these prizes," adds Servizi.

Tickets for the Winning Theatre raffle are just $2 each, or three for $5, and are available at: Auld Phillips in downtown Chilliwack, Suzanne's in Cottonwood Mall, UCFV Theatre's box office on the Chilliwack campus, and the UCFV Bookstore on the Abbotsford campus. The prize draw will be held on Sunday, Nov.25, at the final performance of Alice Through the Looking Glass at the UCFV Theatre. In all, 1,000 tickets were printed.
