UCFV assessment services now available to community
The Assessment Services department at UCFV is preparing to offer a range
of new services to the community. These services will include career testing,
diagnostic testing, vocational rehabilitation testing, and portfolio development
workshops.
Portfolio development workshops will introduce participants to the
career/personal benefits of portfolio development. The participants will explore
their credit and/or non-credit, and formal and/or informal, lifelong learning in
order to enhance their career search.
Vocational rehabilitation testing provides participants with a full
report on what types of careers they are interested in pursuing, their learning
styles, skills, and strengths. This one-on-one session with a psychologist will
help people refocus their career after an injury or prolonged unemployment.
Career testing, through self-assessment tools and guidance from the
facilitator, will provide information on career possibilities, learning styles,
preferences, skills and abilities. Assessment tools will include Meyers-Briggs
Type Indicator®.
