UCFV athletic prospects invited to talent identification camps

Abbotsford – The UCFV Cascade Athletics program invites any prospective student athletes to attend a Talent Identification Camp where they will have an opportunity to “try out” in front of the coaching staff. 

These camps are for individuals who are interested in attending UCFV next fall while participating on the men’s or women’s soccer, basketball or volleyball teams. Participants need not be registered as a UCFV student at this time.

Basketball and volleyball camps will be held in the Student Activity Centre (SAC) gymnasium on the Abbotsford campus, while the soccer camps will be held at Delair Park in Abbotsford. 

A complete schedule for the camps is as follows:

Men’s basketball:  Saturday, April 17, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon;  SAC Gymnasium

Women’s basketball:  Saturday, April 17, 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.;  SAC Gymnasium

Women’s soccer:  Saturday, April 17, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; Delair Park

Men’s soccer:  Saturday, May 1, 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Delair Park

Women’s volleyball:  Saturday, May 1, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.; SAC Gymnasium

Men’s volleyball:  Saturday, May 1, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., SAC Gymnasium

To register, prospective athletes are asked to go to the UCFV website (www.ucfv.ca/athletics) and fill in the Athlete Recruitment form.
