The Government of Canada's 2011 Budget, the Next Phase of Canada's Economic Action Plan included a number of initiatives to help ensure that all Canadians can feel safe in their own communities, including $7.5 million annually in funding to supportPublic Safety Canada's Youth Gang Prevention Fund.

Community Action Initiative
The Community Action Initiative (CAI) supports communities that identify and seek to address mental health and substance use concerns. Our organization was launched with a $10 million allocation from the Province of BC. The Crime Remediation and Crime Prevention Grant Funding Program has opened funding for projects identified with emerging issues (eg. gang prevention, combating human trafficking, sexual exploitation).
