Office of Enrolment Management
The Office of Enrolment Management was
operationalized in the Fall of 2007 to emphasize and strategically
focus on our student enrolments, engagement and success. Much of the
work to date has focused on building awareness about the important
linkages between student recruitment, retention, engagement and success.
We have learned a great deal about the very distinct needs of the
diverse populations that we serve: adult and traditional learners, and
full-time and part-time students. In collaboration with Institutional
Research we have published three papers that examine entering
characteristics of successful traditional students, student retention
and academic success and the profile of adult learners in the Fraser
Valley.
The Office of Enrolment Management reports to the Advisor to the
Provost, Integrated Planning and works in collaboration with
Institutional Research.
Priorities for 2010/11 include coordination and development of the
institutional Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) plan; development of a
sustainable enrolment management strategy for the summer semester;
development of our work with the regional school districts and high school transitions projects; and continuation of the work on programs that focus on academic success and student engagement such as the Supported Learning Groups program.
