The Louden Singletree submission guidelines
To ensure your work will be reviewed by the Louden Singletree editorial committee, please follow the instructions below.
Submission by email
All submissions must be sent by email, with the work included as an attachment. Although multiple submissions are encouraged, only one submission may be submitted per email. The address for submissions is: louden.singletree@ufv.ca
Deadline
Please submit your contribution(s) by December 14, 2011.
Writing document types
Submitted files must be in MS Word 97 - 2007 document (.doc and .docx). Files should be named according to the following convention: “First initial Last Name Title”, ie: JSmithFlowersarePretty.doc.
Written document format
Please use 12-point Times New Roman font. Text should be single-spaced. Exceptions are made for structural poetry. A title page should be included, indicating the title of the work and the author’s name and email address. To assist in adjudicative neutrality, please do not indicate your name anywhere else in the document.
Visual Art document types
Submitted files may be drawings, paintings, photographs, or mixed media. The visual art files submitted must be in .jpeg format and able to be reduced to 81/2 x 14" or smaller. Both colour and black & white submissions are accepted. Files should be named according to the naming convention as follows: “First initial Last Name Title”, ie: SJonesWalkinthePark.jpg.
Visual Art document format
Please use 12-point Times New Roman font for any writing accompanying a visual art document. Text should be single spaced. A title or cover page should be included, indicating the title of the work, the author’s name, and email address. To assist in adjudicative neutrality, please do not indicate your name anywhere else in the work.
Email message formatting
Please format your email as follows.
Subject: “Lit/VA Mag Submission”
Body of email:
(We suggest copying the following text into your email and editing it to add your personal information)

Description of work or artist's statement: (optional)
Author Bio: [name; field of interest/major; status at UFV (alumni/ staff/ student/ faculty); inspriration or artist statment .
