The ESL department offers four English language proficiency certificates. Qualified students who want to receive a certificate must apply for the certificate they wish to receive. Students must achieve a grade of C- or better in each of the listed courses, and must have an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher on all the courses for the certificate. Students may apply for more than one certificate.

Note: It is not the intention of the ESL Department to issue certificates for ESL study not done at UFV.
If you would like to apply for these certificates,
1. Check to insure that you qualify 2. Complete a Request to Graduate’ form www.ufv.ca/ar/forms (also available at Admissions and Records office) 3. Submit your form and $25 to the Admissions and Records office
You may apply for more than one certificate at the same time for the $25 graduation fee. ESL graduation requests are processed three times per year. Depending on the date of your application, it may take up to six months for evaluation, approval and production of your certificate(s). For more information, please contact:
