Developing Support for EAL Students

Our joint sabbatical project seeks to gather perspectives related to both the learning and instruction challenges that EAL students (students who use English as an additional language in their studies at UFV) and instructors may respectively encounter when these students transition into university-level courses.
The goal of our sabbatical work is to support the institutional conversation already happening, identify strategies and practices to increase EAL student success, help raise retention rates, and strengthen institutional resources for both EAL students and their instructors.
All interested students, faculty, staff, and administrators are warmly welcome.
