ROTARY FOUNDATION AMBASSADORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
The primary purpose of any Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries.
Academic Year Ambassadorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for one regular academic year of full-time study at an institution assigned by The Rotary Foundation Trustees. Funding is provided to cover round trip transportation, one month of intensive language training, tuition fees, reasonable room and board; some educational supplies.
Multi-year Ambassadorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for two years of full-time degree-oriented study at an institution assigned by The Rotary Foundation Trustees. The scholarship may be used for almost any field of study, as long as the scholar is enrolled in a specific university degree program and takes course work which relates directly to the completion of one degree.
Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship
This scholarship for either three or six months of intensive language training and cultural immersion at a language school selected by The Rotary Foundation Trustees. The three-month scholarship is most appropriate for studying a foreign language in which the applicant may already be somewhat proficient. The six-month scholarship is more appropriate for studying a language that presents a challenge to the applicant. In addition to meeting the general eligibility requirements, applicants are expected to have completed at least one year of college-level course work or equivalent of the proposed language of study. Funding is provided to cover round-trip transportation, tuition and fees for language training, and home stay expenses.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must have completed at least two years of university or college course work (or must have a secondary school education and have been employed in a recognized vocation for at least two years) when the scholarship begins. All applicants must be citizens of a country in which there is a Rotary club. Initial application must be made through a local Rotary club in the applicant's legal or permanent residence, or place of full-time study or employment. Persons with disabilities and members of Rotaract clubs are eligible and encouraged to apply.

SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL WOMEN 'S OPPORTUNITY AWARDS
The Women's Opportunity Awards is an annual program that begins at the local Soroptimist club leve, where award amounts vary. Club recipients become eligible to receive region-level awards, which are granted through soroptimist's 28 geographic regions.
