The Abbotsford Foundation administers a wide variety of scholarships and bursaries for students at participating secondary schools in the Abbotsford School district.  To apply, grade 12 students should contact their school counselling centre.  All applications must be submitted in early March.

ANN DAVIS TRANSITION SOCIETY BURSARY

AVAILABLE TO: A full-time student who is a single parent in a social services discipline and plan to work in the field of abuse prevention benefiting a diverse population.

Typed application, 1 - 3 pages, will be mailed between May 1 and August 4.
Applicants will indicate financial need and address all of the foregoing questions .
Include proof of course enrollment, social insurance and UFV student number.
Describe (briefly) their feminist perspective on women and abuse.
Have at least 12 months of relevant volunteer experience.
A letter from the organization with whom the student volunteered.
Names and business telephone numbers for two referencees who should be past employers or professionals working in the community who can verify the information in the application.
A committee designated by the Ann Davis Board of Directors will review applications. All applicants will be notified when a decision is made, however, the successful applicant's name will not be shared.
All information sent to Ann Davis is strictly confidential and unsuccessful applications will be shredded immediately a candidate is chosen.
The Board of Directors will not enter into discussion with unsuccessful applicants.

AVAILABLE TO: Students enrolled in an automotive aftermarket industry-related program or curriculum at a Canadian college or university. This includes students pursuing their studies as an automotive apprentice. It also includes studies in any of the following automotive sectors: auto body, hard parts, heavy duty, or motive power (machinists).

AVAILABLE TO:  Applicants who are either a graduating high school senior or have graduated from high school within the past two years pursuing a career in the automotive aftermarket.

AIA/Marion Roberts Memorial Awards

AVAILABLE TO:  Dependents or a full-time employee in an active AIA member company in good standing. Confirmation of the parent’s/spouse’s employment must be provided by the Member Company and be sent along with the scholarship application.

SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund

The BC Hydro Power Pioneers Youth Community Service Award is open to B.C. students attending school full-time, who are maintaining a passing grade, and who are 18 years of age and under.
