UFV - ENTRANCE AWARDS
The University of the Fraser Valley offers entrance awards to students who are enrolling at UFV in the academic year immediately following their high school graduation. The selection of recipients for these awards will be based on factors such as academic excellence, community/school involvement, volunteer experience, and leadership endeavours.
Re: Optional Provincial Exams and Entrance Scholarship GPA Calculations
No preference will be given to students who choose to write optional grade 12 provincial exams. The Awards Adjudication Committee will follow the new policy change approved by the Board of Governors on December 21, 2007, which states, "Should a student elect to write an optional grade 12 provincial exam, the higher of the school mark or the blended grade (school mark and provincial exam result combined) will be used for admission or course prerequisites." This too will be the case when calculation GPA for entrance scholarships.
