Certificate in International and Development Studies
Associate of Arts in International and Development Studies
- The Associate in Arts in International and Development Studies program is a multi-disciplinary program which includes courses in the disciplines of Anthropology, Communications, Cultural and Media Studies, Economics, Geography, Latin American Studies, Political Science, and Sociology. Additionally, it offers an optional ‘field school’ component. The Latin American field school or study tour component offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience abroad as well as obtain a field school certificate upon successful completion.

Proposed Bachelor of Arts in Global Development Studies is currently moving through the Provincial approval process.
- This unique program will provide students with a core of development, history and theory courses, a significant conponent of skills development and multiple opportunities to put their skills and theory to practice in the field.
- Internship/practicum opportunities that support student learning in international development programs
- Partnerships that develop and sustain academic, professional, international and local communities
- Student based initiatives including conducting research, hosting events, and advancing development projects to promote community development at the local, national, and nternational level
